Join MoreArt on IG Live for a discussion on collaboration, social practice, and the artists responding to the ongoing pandemic with EA Fellow Sean Desiree and More Art Artistic Coordinator Jules Rochielle Sievert.

In recent months artists organized, mobilizing their creativity, labor, and resources to support those made most vulnerable by the COVID-19 pandemic. The 3D PPE Artist Network is a national network of artists making free face shields. EA Fellows Sean Desiree and Cody Herrmann have worked with Jules and the 3D PPE Artist Network to print, assemble, and distribute face shields for hundreds of workers in Queens. Both fellows have taken creative leadership with outstanding fundraising and community outreach efforts, using small print stations to take action during this crisis.

Sean Desiree is a self-taught artist and furniture maker, born and raised in the Bronx. They are currently a 2020-2021 Engaging Artists Fellow at More Art. They use wood from found pallets, demolished buildings, and discarded scraps to create works informed by the language of geometry and guided by their commitment to highlight stories of resistance. Find more of their work at www.southendpalletworks.com or @southendpalletworks. For work by Sean’s’ s EA collaborator, Cody Herrmann, follow @americanbabe or visit www.codyannherrmann.com.
