Two Artist+ registry artists - Hunter Reynolds and David Wojnarovicz - are featured in P·P·O·W online exhibition Hell is a Place on Earth. Heaven is a Place in Your Head., the show has film works by Carlos Motta, Guadalupe Maravilla, Carolee Schneemann, and Suzanne Treister. Online here.

As humankind grapples with the overwhelming changes to daily life resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, these films confront bodily and societal restriction as well as destruction with “radical gestures” unique to each artist. Expressing spiritual, physiological, and sexual freedom, these films allow the viewer the rare opportunity to transcend culture's sovereign structures, conventions, and taboos.

The Artist+ Registry is the largest database of works by artists with HIV/AIDS.  It offers a unique resource to inspire and educate the public.  Visual AIDS assists artists with HIV/AIDS, while preserving a visual record of their work and helping them reach new audiences. The Artist+ Registry is open to all HIV+ artists.
