August 6, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, free to all

El Museo del Barrio is delighted to bring together curators from diverse New York City institutions to examine the impact of the pandemic on exhibition programs and curatorial projects. While focusing on digital spaces, the panel discussion will explore the rethinking and emergence of new formats and presentation strategies, in a transformed public realm, affected by quarantine and social distancing. This program also marks the launch of “Popular Painters and Other Visionaries”, El Museo del Barrio’s first online exhibition.

The conversation will feature the participation of Hitomi Iwasaki, Director of Exhibitions and Programs, The Queens Museum; Rodrigo Moura, Chief Curator, El Museo del Barrio; Herb Tam, and Curator and Director of Exhibitions, Museum of Chinese in America. Moderated by Aimé Iglesias Lukin, Director and Chief Curator of Visual Arts at the Americas Society.
